Jim, good luck collecting on that bill.

They do run a new line {fiber optic} to the home and new lines inside. At the time almost 3 years ago, it was free of charge, and thats 2 techs for about 6 hrs. Speed? No comparison, it’s like going from dial up to cable except cable to FIOS. Seat belt now required on my desk chair. I just hope this new TV package is going to be the same transition. From what I could find out on the web there is some town in Texas {one of the first to get it} everybody is very pleased with it. Of course it’s going to be an improvement for me, I’m on rabbit ears since my falling out with comcast. I had the cable boxes for almost 2 months, I sent them a bill for wherehousing and restocking fee, and still do on ocassion. Chow Jim

Looks like my standoff with Comcast is finnaly comming to an end. In my area Verizon is finnaly offering fiber optic TV, thank goodness. The question is dose anyone out there have this service and are you happy with it? The initial package is cheaper and they are offering many more channels than the cable company. I already have FIOS for my internet provider and love it, incredibly fast. It’s about time we can now choose on who brings that vast wasteland into our homes. Thanks, Chow Jim
They were recently installing new cables in my area, and will begin offering the service soon.
Did they need to run a new line to your house from the street? Our house is about 500 feet from the street, sort of bhind all the other houses, and while I am excited about this service, I am concerned I might have to pay to run the lines…which are currently (existing phone & cable) underground.
Also, is internet speed comparable to cable?
Thanks
Using FIOS for Internet and Phone, still have dish for TV. I have had GREAT support from Verizon with FIOS
