    Breaux Bridge
: Mulate’s and especially Poche’s, which is real "RoadFoody." Just go north off I-10 and follow the signs.

Cecilia: Landry’s is a chain, but the food’s pretty good, and Boudin King is great. Both are at exit 115 from I-10 on the north side of the highway.

Baton Rouge: Bellue’s sells by mail & is in an iffy area (although on US 61), and makes most things to order for eat-in or carry-out. I stock up on all things Cajun there.

You might want to spend some time in the archives. You will find much information on this much fabled (and definitely not overrated) drive. You can plan on stopping alot. No shortage of great places to eat. Have fun. Hopefully your "valve will not close"[:D] and you will be able to enjoy the trip.
