Sounds like a great day. And that Monahan’s menu looks wonderful — especially the $14.99 hot lobster roll.

That’s good to know about Monaghan’s. I’ve passed it many times, although the reviews have been “iffy” I’ll have to check it out soon.

Yesterday, Denise and I took a day trip.  We started with breakfast at the Chuck Wagon in Ellington, CT.  We lunched a Monahan’s Clam Shack http://www.monahansri.com http://www.monahansri.com/ in Narragansett, RI.  Harry’s Place in Colechester, CT was supper.

At the Chuck Wagon, Denise had the Veggie omelet, I had the scrambled eggs.  Great Start.

We happened upon Monahan’s but it was great.  Denise had the fish and chip.  I had the clear chowder, clam cakes, and the clam roll.  The food was very good. and the water view was all that we could ask for.  We will return.

Harry’s place offered Cheeseburgers with fried onions.  We visit Harry’s all summer when we are in the area.

[/p][p]I once stayed at an All-Inclusive in Puerto Vallarta. Every time they brought a pizza out, these Russians ran up and snagged all the pieces. I was intrigued so after a while I went up and stood at the stand so I could cop a slice. It turned out that it was topped with sliced hot dogs. It NEEDED ketchup, onions, and Cheez Whiz to make it palatable but alas, none was available. I think Jen-O’s made a better za.[/p][p]

    Wow…what’s next”Pork roll, egg, and cheese pizza???[/p]
