Well, my girlfriend is really picky, so I don’t have to worry too much about what I make, it’s mostly for myself. She can’t stand peppers, even ground black pepper. It’s wide open for me.
I don’t think I would automatically add serranos or habaneros without checking with others. Especially if I had no milk around to kill the burn.
I also would not serve chocolate without asking around, nor would I want others to do so… That stuff keeps me up past dawn.
But back to what I eat…
I used to eat a lot of Bran Flakes, but would not offer that. Today, there are two quick toasts I do, on my favorite sourghdough, Francisco Brand, the one that looks like a deflated football. Just peanut butter, toasted lightly and all warmed up. But the better one is grated cheddar tossed with roasted serranos, again toasted on both sides. Not fancy food.
I do a nice spaghetti, tossed in sauted garlic, onion, butter and olive oil, sprinkled with black pepper, fresh basil, and parmesan. This one approaches fancy.
As for pasta in canned sauce? I don’t know. Even if you fix up the sauce. I’d sooner serve my friends filet mignon and souffles, you know?
So, it depends on the quality of your guest. I have friends I’d serve pizza to.
Let’s move on, perhaps, with items we cooked for ourselves, as teenagers! Those are a little weird.

Coke syrup over chocolate ice cream.
Bagel, cream cheese and red horseradish.
Cottage cheese with Mandarine Oranges and pickled beets.
I finally had time to read everyone’s response, and after a Google search am greatly intrigued by Bacon Salt. I never knew such a thing existed. I must have some. [:D]
I love beef tongue, but I realize many are grossed out by it. So I keep that little delicacy for myself.
I’ll try peanut butter with anything even the Elvis Presley concoction. Peanut butter with tuna salad, egg salad, fried eggs, etc.
before I swore off them, I used to heat a can of spaghetti-os with a slice of American cheese and pour that concoction over white squishy bread. Of course, I had to have extra bread for dipping, too.
I used to have a couple of things, but ever since I’ve been with my SO, eaten some of the things he comes up with, and realized how really very good things can be when you put things together you’d never previously have considered putting in your mouth, I don’t care.
I agree…if you don’t like it, find something else to eat somewhere else. My house. [:)]
I cut up sausage links, mix it with grits and slather it on rye toast.
Cold leftover pasta.
Canned Baked Beans, sauteed onions and peppers and franks/sausages, BBQ sauce, pepper, hot sauce, cumin.
Spinach mushroom quesadillas. With lots of caramelized onion.
That goes for me too.
Cold canned sugar peas, drained and mixed with Duke’s mayo. Sometimes some diced onion, sometimes not. Sugar pea salad for those who can’t stand up very long at a time.

If I’ll eat it, I’ll serve it[8D].
Anyone goes away hungry it’s their own fault [;)][:D]!
There was another thread somewhere recently about Chef Boyardee canned ravioli and I confess to sometimes enjoying that. (From another Jadrool for JB!)
