I just got off the phone with a couple people from Snappy Lunch (sorry, I didn’t get a name or title, but the first one said she would get the manager), who knew nothing about it closing. She did tell me that they were closed for five weeks of remodeling, but they are back open now.

I also took the opportunity to ask about Mr. Dowell. She told me he still comes in six days a week to help out and talk to customers, but he no longer works the grill, just like the newspaper article said. I’m just glad to hear he can still be involved in some capacity.

If a BBQ tours get put together I’ll be there. It is about a 6 hour drive for me but that is completely do-able.
