I wouldn’t expect anything but fresh whipped cream from Emeril!
And yes, that certainly is a spectacular piece of pie!!

Mmmmm[:p].
Looks like they used my favorite recipe, minus the graham cracker crust.
What a thing of beauty! Is that fresh whipped cream on top? Please tell me YES!
[:X]
Lord. Have. Mercy. I’m gonna have to try that on my next trip to Orlando. The only problem is his restaurant also has crispy guava and cream cheese dumplings which look and sound amazing. Maybe I’ll just skip dinner…
Looks..My-T-fine!! Bet it tasted as good too…..

As the official Photo reviewer-approver,
Why don’t you copy that post into the ‘Best Pies Thread”.
It sure belongs there !!!

I should have taken pictures, but we just ate too fast!
On our way back from a college drop off we stopped for lunch in Rantoul IL at a small place called Butcher Boy Burgers.
I had a very respectable pulled pork, and Frank had a nice and crunchy Cod sandwich. but oh!
The pie!
I had a blueberry crumble and he had a coconut custard, both to die for!
The crusts were so light and flaky that breeze would have blown them away!
The fruit had the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Topped with crispy sweet cookie topping-
The coconut custard was smooth and perfect, topped with mountains of meringue.
It was so good we brought home a slice of blueberry and brownie for the kids.
The pies are made by the owner a nice gentleman whose name I didn’t get-
from his mom’s recipe.
we will be back- pictures next time for sure.

I wouldn’t even flinch paying $10.00 for that pie. It looks spectacular! It looks like a graham cracker crust, with chocolate ganache shavings on top.
Last week, I had dinner at Emeril’s Chophouse in Orlando. It was wonderful…………..my son then insisted on ordering their banana cream pie for me. I thought that he was crazy………….$10.00 for a piece of pie? Anyway, the pie was served to me, and not only was it the size of 2 pieces of pie; it was absolutely delicious, as well as beautiful. I have never been thrilled about a piece of pie before, except the blueberry pie at Helen’s in Maine. As hard as this might be for you to believe, this pie was worth every penny!
That is a beautiful slice! The presentation is outstanding.
Looks like a well constructed crust, too. [:D] I like the chocolate shavings on top. Give the piece nice attraction to the eye.
