We have stopped there a couple of times in 2004 and 2005. We were very pleased both times ![:p]
Camp 18 is a blast. Son Sam and Mrs. Chips love to go there, look at the amazing logging gadgets and eat the pie and/or pancakes.
Y’know, it’s a funny thing: we had been to Camp 18 many years ago ourselves, traveling from the coast towards Portland. We only vaguely remembered where it was, but just happened to be going out the Sunset Highway … and breakfast time, conveniently … and there it was. MoBob’s comment about "Fantastic atmosphere" couldn’t be more apt. It’s a veritable theme park of a restaurant, and I mean that in the nicest way! This is what all the door handles look like:
The Karma on this board is amazing. There were some posts inquiring about food on the Oregon Coast a couple days ago and I wanted to respond about an out of the way place I had the fortunate opportunty to happen to find a few years ago but for the life of me could not think of the name. Then out of the blue yesterday Mr.Stern convienently profiles "Camp 18". Amazing…that’s the place I had in mind. Fantastic atmosphere and great food. If your looking for good wholesome fill your stomach with regional Roadfood, this is the place.
Thank you Stern and I must say you do most times seem to choose the path less taken.
p.s. I hope I chose the right forum!!!!!!11
