maybe, Don, BUT – cooked frozen shrimp is found at the grocery store, so it’s not unusual. The cooking and flash freezing process is pretty remarkable.

Now, I don’t know who is supplying Taco Bell, but it’s not like there isn’t positive precence on using frozen cooked shrimp.

Still, I’m pretty freaking skeptical, and not likely going to try this limited time offering.

That’s great news, especially since it’s hard to fake real shrimp!  Thanks for the tip, will try.

I decided to try the new shrimp burrito today for lunch.  I got a regular taco as well for a back up if this didn’t work out.  I was very skeptical at first, as I did not like Rubio’s shrimp fare (and they have it on their menu year round).  This shrimp product is being introduced, I believe, to compete with the burger markets offering fish for Lent.

Anyway, I was very pleasantly surprised! The shrimp was fresh (no fishy smell).  The condiments were light and fresh and very flavorful.

I would definitely recommend this.  As with any food chain though, it could be hit or miss; depending on the location.

That’s just plain scary!  As far as I can tell, they don’t actually cook anything at Taco Bell.

Their shrimp tacos were pretty good when they ran that promotion last year.
