Looks like I’ll have to add this to my honeymoon itinerary. JaneDough and I love diners. I have every book available on diners and Richard Gutman is one of my heroes.
Wow, Michael, that looks cool. I went to the website and spent some time: http://www.culinary.org/dinerpage/index.htm

The Culinary Archives & Museum at Johnson & Wales University has just opened an exhibit about diners that traces their style, reputation, and cuisine from the late 19th century lunch wagons through the streamlined years to the space-age 1960s to the retro-look of today. We haven’t yet seen it, but the press material looks great. Whoever goes first, please post a report here! The show is at 315 Harborside Blvd., Providence, RI. 401-598-2805.
