What’s a Priority Club?
It is the frequesnt stay ponts club that is for the Intercontinental Hotel Group. IHG group includes Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge, and Candlewood.

Vidalias are a very sweet onion and have a very short shelf life. You need to get them as fresh as possible. They tend to go bad in just a few weeks. Some folks refer to them as weed onions. Mine tend to never last that long as I use them as a staple along with garlic and potatoes.
Apparently there are several varities of onions that are just as sweet such as some from California.

The real Vidalias have a paper sticker on the onions declaring them from Vidalia, GA.
Are they really as sweet as they claim?
When purchased in California, the Vidalias (from Georgia) are not sweet.
Yes, they are sweet. They caramelize beautifully with no added sugar.
I would cry if I got a set of onions.
How about some nice Melons?[;)]

You know you are in South Georgia when your Priority Club welcome gift is 2 Vidalia Onions..LOL
Beware! Some grocers put a Vidalia sign on Sweet onions from other parts of the country like TX, CA, WA, HA. Not nearly as mello and sweet as the real deal
Sorry I didnt make what the Priority Club was very clear in my first post. Thanks for the help guys. Are they sweet? Certainly not as sweet as a fruit but compared to an average onion they are very sweet. We put them in foil after peeling, slit the top open and insert a beef boullion cube and a pat of butter. Then bake at 425 for 30-40 minutes. Incredible.
