When did cajuns start eating shish kabobs?

Now THAT I can eat on my new diet.
When I make them I parboil the vegies to facilitate the threading.
Anything to make life easier.
So what makes your rice Cajun? Spices?

JB, welcome back! Shishkaboobs, as you stated, is a favorite, fun and delicious meal. Need that great La. rice along side. The only habit I have differing is, I usually marinate the cut pieces of meat in the juice from a can of pineapple chunks along with some soy sauce, maybe ginger and some chile peppers. Skewer up, grill and enjoy! Thanks for turning the television off.
