My brother did. And boy, was he sick the next day! He topped it off with Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream.
Oh, the agony![xx(]
They call it a sirloin, but it looked more like a chuck roast to me
I could never eat a 72oz steak. I almost became exhausted reading the article. I could not wait until the end to see if the lady ate the whole thing.
I cannot complete a small porter house if I do the trimmings.
Al, You indicated that your sons slept to the Oklahoma line. I think you are lucky they awoke that soon. I am amazed that anyone could do it. Were the steaks good[?]

We stop there almost every trip west. I haven’t done the 72oz, but two of my sons did. One completed the meal in 39 minutes, the other took about 45 minutes. Both slept from the time we left the place to the Oklahoma State line. The burgers and smaller dishes are good to very good. Plan on a lot of tourists stopping in at regular meal times.
What a fun article! Thanks for pointing it out!
This morning’s Washington Post featured a front-page article (albeit the lower right hand corner) on the Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, TX. So nice to see something like this there instead of war and terror alert levels!! [:)]
