Woah! Dude! That is one impressive itinerary. Be sure to take lots of pictures and we want a full report on the entire trip!

Mr Chips, I just might try that shrimp cocktail special as an afternoon snack after the 51’s game.

Stevekoe, unfortunately timing isn’t everything. I won’t be spending much time in Downtown LA, I’ll be staying right near Dodger Stadium that friday night only (walking distance) and thought I would head to Philipe’s before the game and then walk to the ballpark from there.

Greymo, looks like the Cottage is it then! I’ll be checking out the "gourmet" Fish Tacos there and also at El Indio.

Sundancer, putting me in the same Category as "the mayor" is an honorable compliment![8D] Other than the Sterns of course- the man is what roadfood is all about. Let’s see if I can take digital photos as well as he does.

Signman I’ll take your advice and Leechefs and Redpatti’s and "go-go" with hash house a go-go (sorry had to put that pun in there.

PC Diva. I’m a "Sun Screen Slut" I live on the stuff from May thru August. Btw, both the 51’s and Padres games are afternoon games.

Enjoy your sojourn through ballparks and roadfood. Remember to use sunscreen during those afternoon games! (It’s hard to enjoy your food if you can’t sit comfortably due to sunburn!)

WJ, I know this is my thing, but you might enjoy peaking into the neon "boneyard" which is just across from Cashman Field. As you head north from Downtown, you will see it on the right behind a covered fence about a block before Cashman. For your breakfast I’d recommend A Go Go. I went to the original in San Diego in the fall. It’s a bit of a ride, but your kind of menu.

WJ, I like a man with a plan. You are organized very similar to "The Mayor". Nice plan and it sounds like you have researched your food plans very well. Have a great baseball trip. I hope the food at the parks meet you expectations.

Your trip sounds like it is going to be lots of fun and good eating. Hope that you have a fish taco out in San Diego. I have eaten at The Cottage and it is terrific![8D] (Incidentally, their website says that they will open May 24 for dinner.)

I don’t know how much wiggle room you have in your plans, but I have always thought of Philippe’s as more of a lunch place than a diner place.

Hopefully, while you are out west, I will be watching my beloved Mets throttle the Fishies down in Miami.

    Still…I am jealous!

Sounds like a great trip. I still think you ought to find time for a shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate Casino downtown.
