Just for ur info…Weather forecast for Friday and Saturday is 85 degrees and humid with 30% chance of thunderboomers. It should be a good weekend in Owensboro. Have a great time.[8D]

Your route will be a factor…
The Gnaw Bone Food and Fuel was reviewed here a short time back Great Pork Tenderloin sandwiches. Located on Rt. 46 in Gnaw Bone, about half way between Columbus and Bloomington, IN. If you go that way you can then follow Rt 37 south to the river as a shorter, but non-freeway road to Owensboro. The food stop is Humble in the extreme, but worth a stop if yuppie food is not your goal.

In Dale, IN, at Windell’s Cafe, we had the best coconut cream pie of our lives, if that counts for anything. Nice enough town cafe otherwise.

    Friends,

I will be traveling with a buddy from Michigan to the International BBQ Festival in Owensboro, KY this weekend. I expect that we’ll want to stop for lunch somewhere between Indianapolis and Owensboro on the way down.

Can anybody recommend a place to eat? We’ll put anything in our mouths at least once (except fast food).

    Many thanks,

    Jack
