Do women and girls still get a tiny box of Milk Duds when being seated at Lou Mitchell in Chicago? Nothing like Milk Duds while you’re waiting for breakfast!
Here in Boston we had a place that would cut off the ties of the patrons, the guy didn’t care who it was, Prsident Kennedy was one of his trophys. The one person he did worry about though was Frank Sinatra. Another place was Brandy Peat’s On Broad St in Boston. He had letters and post cards from all over the world addresed to him differently, one from Germany just had a drawing of a brandy sniffter and USA on the envelope and it got there. Chow Jim
I’m curious about any local restaurant traditions. For example, at The Range restaurant in Bernalillo NM (just north of Alburqueque)they sell cool T shirts (with a kitchen range on them) and have a wall of photos customers send in of them wearing the T shirt in an exotic vacation locale. There’s photos from all over the world, Europe, Africa, Asia, etc. I think maybe they give you a free meal or shirt or something if you send one in.
