We have a lot of BBQ in Houston, however being spoiled to central Texas they all taste a little generic and fast foodish to me.(if that is a word) Here are some of the better ones.

Goode Co. on Kirby just south of I59 on the left.

Demaris on Shepherd just north o I59 on the right about 2 lights down.

Rudys on I45 north and Luetta.

Luling City Market BBQ on Richmond just east of the West Loop 610 on the left near the Gallaria area.

No Name BBQ on 225 and Main in Pasadena, on the west bound side.

Central Texas BBQ in Pearland on 518 just west of 35(Telephone Rd.)

Burns BBQ on DePriest in Acres Homes. Not a good neighborhood but good food.

Pappas BBQ (was The Brisket House for many years) on I45 south and 610 south loop next to Gulfgate Mall.

Carls BBQ on 290 west exit Huffmeister next to Weiser Air Park.(eat ribs and watch the airplanes takeoff and land)

And if you have the time.

Leons in Galveston about 45min. south.

New Zion Missionary Baptist Church BBQ Huntsville about 90min. north.

Try "Goode Company" on Kirby just south of the southwest freeway.
