I guess my favourite prayer is the one my mom used to say to me when i went to bed
“Now i lay me down to sleep,i pray the lord………..”
I dont remember any others by heart…
Bless the meat, damn the skin, open the kisser and cram it in.
The only time we would ever say grace at the table was on Thanksgiving. We preferred it short and sweet:
This one, always said by my Grandfather after my Grandmother’s long, ossifying, boring Christian prayer:
Father, son, holy ghost, pig is the one that eats the most. Dig in.
Rub-a-dub-dub. Thanks for the grub. YAY GOD!
Short and simple prayer at a Methodist Church camp about 40 years ago…….we couldn’t wait to get more "unnecessary roughage".
My prayers are simple. They come from my soul and are unrehearsed.
Any one you wish to speak or wisper…our Lord listens to all of them
What is your favorite short prayer?
Mine: The Hail Mary
