Sell the toy for one cent with the purchase of a Happy Meal.

I believe it is possible in my lifetime that the S F Board of Supervisors will ban the wearing of clothing on sunny warm days.

Seems to me that McDonald’s can easily get around this by just substituting an apple for the fries, can’t they?

You’re a kid. They say you can’t have fries, you’ll have to take an apple instead. You can’t tell them to shove it up their butts because your mommy is listening. But your mommy, who likes to poach your fries, tells them exactly where they can shove their Happy Meal.

Not to mention no kid I have ever known would voluntarily eat an apple over the fries.  They’d forgo the toy instead.

If you want to get technical, they aren’t banning toys in [style=”color: #ff0000;”]all[/style] the Happy Meals:

“The San Francisco law would allow toys to be given away with kids’ meals that have less than 600 calories, contain fruits and vegetables, and include beverages without excessive fat or sugar.”

So now each kid will want two Happy Meals, so they can throw away the fruits and veggies and still have enough to eat.  By the way, is San Francisco counting fries as a vegetable? (…and catsup?)

Great.  Now the freeways to San Jose will be crowded with VW Vans. [;)]

Leave it to San Fransisco. The all-knowing San Fransisco Board of Supervisors has voted to ban Happy Meals if they come with toys because someone has to look out for the children, and clearly parents don’t care about their kids.

This is probably good negative advertising for McD’s. Kind of like the New Coke deal.

For the Pot part of this thread, there was just a newsbreak here that 8 kids here in a Middle School were rushed to the hospital after eating (they used injesting) marijuana brownies.

Looks like the goodies for the celebration party went un-eaten.  Someone’s parents are reeeeely going to be upset!

You actually can buy the toys separately already – I used to collect Batman toys and whenever they had a Happy Meal promo, I would stop in and buy two or three for a buck each without a meal.
