I posted some photos a few months ago of the Porterhouses that Poverty Pete and I grilled out one evening. They were outstanding. The best part was they were on sale for $5.00 a lb and cut 2 inches thick, just the way we liked them. I bring this thought back now because they are on sale again this week at my local market (Not Kroger) for $4.99 a lb. The only thing that prevents me from ordering a dozen or so is that we still have 4 from the last order, and we are trying to empty the freezer before heading south to Mobile in 2 weeks. This is not a good time to restock…no matter how good it looks right now.
I can honestly say the day of the $10.00 = 2 lb Porterhouse is still here !
Remember these?
A Great show….now I’m ready for lunch.
Makes you wonder why some people will turn a beautiful peice of meat and cook it until is only fit to resole shoes. We have people here like that and I refuse to go to dinner with them any more. They see blood on my plate and freak.
Well done that was like crack for foddies…Russ
THAT was beautiful. Went to the link and what I saw was artistry in meat. Are more and more resturaunts plating the steak already sliced, and I am assuming that steak was for more than one person.
I just uploaded some new photos that I will use on my blog in the near future. Thought I’d give you guy a sneak peek:
