Well, no pictures, but I did my best to recreate the recipe.Dipped chops in egg, then rolled in corn flakes(not crushed)Placed them in a 13×9 pan, sprinkled with salt, pepper and sugar.Poured a can of evaporated milk around them, covered and baked for 1 hour at 350.Uncovered and baked for another 20-30 minutes.I thought they were great, but my family wasnt so impressed. My husband commented that as he recalls, the best version My Mom made was when she was out of corn flakes and had to use Frosted Flakes.I like things sweet and salty, which the chops were, and the meat was incredibly tender. If only Mom were here to tell me…But I tried!!![:)]

Ann,take a 2-3 pound ham steak and put in a baking dish that will hold it snuggly but not tightly. Pour a pint of heavy cream over the ham steak … Then, sprinkle the surface of the ham with about four tablespoons of light brown sugar and freshly ground black pepper to taste ( I like a lot ! )…Cover the dish ( I use a piece of parchment paper then a piece of aluminum foil )…Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 1 hour…Uncover, baste the ham with the pan juices…Bake 30 more minutes, uncovered…Enjoy !
Let me know how you like it Miss Ann !

Ann I grew up eating this exact dish. I’ll have to ask my mom for the recipe. Seems it might even have used powdered milk or something weird.

I’m actually cooking PC in crock pot at home right now. I peeled and sliced about 5 potatoes and put in a can of cream of mushroom soup. Little bit of pepper and dried onions…I hope they are good though my daughters already said they won’t eat them
