Michael and Lisa and Cliff, you promise I won’t get beat up for wearing my beautiful blue Anthony Rizzo jersey? (Or beautiful black Buster Posey jersey, depending on which game we see)

If you’re wearing a Buster Posey jersey I shall personally stand guard, but it’s Pittsburgh and the natives, while restless, are really very nice.

I’m still trying to figure it out. It’s Pittsburgh — Western (landlocked) Pennsylvania. Why do they have the absolute best fish sandwiches in America? They’re the biggest, too.

Really looking forward to being in Da Burg again.  I’ll have to let you know about Thursday evening, my travel plans aren’t complete yet.  I’ll skip the game, baseball puts me to sleep.  Unless it’s the Phillies of course. [:D]

Thursday evening will definitely be flexible enough that we can accommodate last-minute decision changes. The big question we want to answer there is whether attendance will be so high that we need to borrow or rent tables.

I’m sure Buddy will have his table! [:D]

My buddy Joe is now wondering what he has gotten himself into…

Now, I’m wondering……….Tigger PJs, doggie slippers, BOY DANCE PARTY????????  What kind of freak show is going on at Casa de Cliff???

Yeah, it’s pretty weird sounding. Next thing you know someone’s actually going to cook something there.

I’d try to make that one!

Maybe a tour of the Iron City Brewery included?

Are they still making Clark Bars in da Burgh?

A trip to da Burgh is not complete without attending a church sponsored Fish Fry

OR one at the Moose, Eagles, Elks or the VFW, American Legion, or Volunteer Firemen’s Hall!

There is no other region in the country where you will find as many fund raising fish fry’s than Western Pennsylvania

    http://www.pittsburghcatholic.org/fishfry.php http://www.pittsburghcatholic.org/fishfry.php

And a plus if it includes potato pancakes, haluski and homemade pirogue’s![:p][:p][:p][8D]

    Answers, we have answers….

    That would be great!

    That is certainly a possibility

    Unfortunately, no

Since lent would be long gone, the best of that ilk is the http://www.observer-reporter.com/article/20150225/LIFESTYLES07/150229664 Italian Club in Muse, right outside Canonsburg.  I can just imagine a group photo outside the borough building with the singing http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/6842 Perry Como statue.  Unfortunately, the Polish Prince Bobby Vinton, also a native of Canonsburg, doesn’t have a statue.

And how could I have forgotten Blackberry Cobbler, Apple Dumplings and Graham Cracker Pie?

Who says there’s nothing to eat in Southern West Virginia?

Most people. But I’ve lived there, and I know better. And not just southern West Virginia.

Well, there are those Pepperoni Rolls up north- But we won’t be spending any real time there other than to pick some up

Beautiful!!!  But I’ve never seen a fish sandwich in W.PA that doesn’t stick out on both sides, and yep, that’s about the right size for a “small”!  Fish sandwiches rock there!!!!

    Ralph,

You’re killing me!  I want to work on the Strip!

But about beans and greens, I cook broccoli rabe then saut it in olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes, then add cannellini beans.  Not a big fan of kale……I only use it in soup.

Are Joe Namath, Joe Montana, Dan Marino,  or Jim Kelly signed up for the outing?

Just wanted to pass an update along to the trip organizers – My buddy Joe will be joining us on this tour of Pittsburgh. He’s been wanting to do one of these for some time and the timing of this one couldn’t be better.

    EXCELLENT!!!!
