There are several in ATL, and they are OK, as you mentioned. Usually skimpy on the meat. The best cheesesteaks in our area is at the Mad Italian, almost as good as Jim’s or Tony Luke’s in Philly.
Houston is apparently bereft of a decent cheesesteak emporium. I haven’t found one, anyway. I think maybe the best cheesesteak I’ve had in a couple of years was a ‘limited time only’ promotion at Jack in the Box.
So a few months ago, I tried Philly Connection. Just ok, not great, but to my delight they carry Tastykakes. In fact, the best reason for going to Philly Connection may just be to pick up a handful of Tastykakes except for the fact that at the one nearest me someone else apparently has the same idea and there’s never more than a couple in the rack.
Anyone else have an opinion on Philly Connection? What’s the best one to order?
