I sure would love to eat at Mendenhall Hotel Revolving Tables Restaurant in Mississippi one more time!

    Dearfolk,
If wishes were restaurant reopenings and mine came true, we’d have Melear’s Bar-B-Q in Union City, Georgia; Ma Groover’s Pig And Plate in Valdosta, Georgia; Mama’s Place in Stockbridge, Georgia; The Rio Vista in Conley, Georgia; The Silver Grill on Monroe Drive in N/E Atlanta; and Pilgreen’s Steak House on Lee Street in S/W Atlanta all once again serving their respective goodies.
Sure, I miss The Royal Cafe here in Athens, but I’ve found something better and so have the folks who ran the place.
Overhopefully, Ort. Carlton in Coolerated Athens, Georgia.
    P. S. I’ve been to Minneapolis once, but I didn’t make it to Peter’s Grill. Seems like I missed something….

Peter’s Grill in Minneapolis re-opened last month after closing last July. The new owner is the former owner and nephew of the original owner who sold the place to another that closed it and now has it back. Hmm, did that make sense? [:D]

So, I went for lunch today and sat at the counter. Nothing changed. It was for all appearances exactly the same right down to the waitresses that looked as if they worked there for 30 years. I had the Clubhouse sandwich. But if you want to get the Bill Clinton Special, Canadian Bacon and Egg Sandwich on Pumpernickle Bread, Vegetable Soup, Apple Pie and Diet Coke, you can for $9.95. President Clinton stopped at Peter’s Grill and had that and signed the menu which is now on every menu in the restaurant.

Peter’s Grill is a throwback kind of place of a bygone era with a lot of counter seats, booths and some tables.
