Thanks! Morgan Olson (Formerly Grumman Olson) has a supply parts department, I discovered. I am thinking about ordering the glass and having it shipped. Then find someone to install, maybe an auto body shop. But didn’t realize that it breaks so easily& May rethink that…

I have to get mine repaired as well. Here in Michigan, I called Safe lite, $200 to install the front.

I have a Utilimaster body…just thought I should throw that in there.

Working on getting my 1984 Chevy P30 ready and am having the hardest time finding a company interested in replacing both of my front windshields. Anyone else had a difficult time with this? Any suggestions? I am in the Nashville area. There are plenty of these type vehicles on the road, so there has to be someone who does this. I just can’t find them…

My step dad does flat safety glass windshields in street rods that have been chopped.  I would imagine that a rod shop or ask  a rod shop of an independent glass guy.  A lot of these guys do the odd jobs the regular shops won’t touch.

Mill Supply has the best deal on the windshield gasket that I have found..  With the old style locking strip gasket, these are the easiest type of glass to install.

I’m going to have the windshields done in my 1990 P30. I’ve talked to a couple of installers. They will both do it, but neither likes doing these. The flat glass is too easy to break, and then they have to eat the cost of it.

keep calling around until you find one that needs the work, but be careful of any one that might flake and disappear if they break it or will try to tell you that the little crack in the corner is no big deal …lol.

I would be sure to have them provide the glass just to cover all possibilities.
