Careful. Some very good wines, including virtually all from New Zealand (which produces some really good sauvignon blancs) are now being bottled with screw tops. Heresy maybe, but they work well.

Belatedly, all congratulations, Sue. Sounds like you had a great day. And the roasted peppers in your chili sound delicious. I roast peppers for a cheesy cornbread that I make, and it makes ALL the difference.

I think that it is super that a great amateur couple went into a chili competition with 30 folks and nailed a 5th. Good job.

Bring some of that good chili to Knoxville, TN the next time you are driving through. I am sure that we will find a good use for it.

    Congrats.

    Sue –

    Congrats.

In my opinion, all samples should have been in like containers and had just a number for identification purposes.

You and Bob should whip up a batch and bring it on the NJ Dog tour!

Congrats, the chili you make sounds great. To come in 5th out of 30 is fantastic. Keep up the good work, and try again.

Well, if they judge it that way, just wait till next time. I predict so many Roadfood folk descending on the place it will make Woodstock look like a small gathering of music fans!

You did great despite the stuffed ballot box!
