I use the least expensive, but of good quality, onions for the dogs. For a burger, I like a sliced sweet or red onion.

To cut the onions for the dogs, I use one of these babies….  http://www.amazon.com/Progressive-GOC-300-International-Onion-Chopper/dp/B000A389IM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1287702970&sr=8-2   http://www.amazon.com/Pro…amp;sr=8-2   Very fast and cuts perfect 1/8″ little squares.

We use sweet onions. They are mild and well suited to eating raw without overpowering the food. But that is our personal choice. It is the onion we think is right and our customers seem to agree with us.

I like red onions in my salads and on hamburgers.

    Hello Gang-
As much feedback here as possible would be great.
Red onions, white, spanish, and sweet seem to be the 4 major types of onions. What are the differences in these 4? what are the 2 basic applications for each of these types of onions?. What are the correct onions to dice up and use on a hotdog? does it matter/
    THANKS!!!
