Most of New Jersey’s Hot Dog (boiled, deep fried, Italian) culture (here’s a great list – http://www.hollyeats.com/JerseyDogs.htm ) is in the Northern part of the state but there is a Windmill in Red Bank on Bridge Street in a small strip mall near the large antiques section of town.

I’ve only recently come to appreciate the hot dog and it’s various
incarnations. The Windmill dog is grilled on a griddle and is huge (as is an order of their fries- "krinkle-cut" IIRC)- one of the reasons I’ll often decide NOT to stop in to one near me- just too much food and not the best choice for "left overs".
