Any idea if the West Jefferson Henry’s was related to the http://henrysrestaurants.com/about Ottawa Henry’s?
While I doubt it, and I didn’t see any pie photos on their Facebook page, they did have a couple pie board photos and the list of flavors was long and appealing.

IIRC Henry’s was sold not all that long ago and you and Lleechef felt that the quality had fallen off with the ownership change, correct?
Right. But we were hoping, just hoping that someone had taken over and everything had gone back to how it had been. But today confirmed it……closed for good.
It’s official. Henry’s in West Jefferson, Ohio is no more. We went by it today and it is definitely shuttered with a for sale sign outside.

I saw on Facebook that someone from the family that owned it for years said she was going to start offering the same food that was offered at the restaurant, with a very limited and different menu each week, out of her home. Of course, that doesn’t really help almost all of the people on here, including me. I would guess there would be one or two pie flavors each week.
If Henry’s were still around and serving quality pie, it would have unquestionably been my breakfast stop on the second day of my trip to Indiana this September. I had been planning on doing that for a long time because I wanted to get there early enough to have a full pie selection. They were out of most flavors the last time I was there. I still have the memory of the coconut-meringue pie from my first stop there. That was one of the best slices of pie I’ve ever had.
