There are always long lines at Uglesich’s but the wait is worth it and much to my suprise, I found several people who read Roadfood.com in the line with me. That started some interesting conversations.
They wanted to know who the "Mayor" and "Sundancer" characters were. I was afraid to identify myself[:D][:D][:D]

Was in New Orleans for the Final Four, but staying in Baton Rouge, so I didn’t have a lot of time for extensive searches for Good Food, but I did get to Emeril’s Delmonico for Sunday brunch and it was excellent. Uglesich’s had long lines, so I bypassed it. Had red beans and rice at Bon Ton.

Two years ago, while in New Orleans for the NCAA South Regional, I directed by friends to Eddie’s on Law Avenue, but it was closed. We asked someone in the neighborhood about a comparable restaurant to Eddie’s and was directed to "Two Sisters" at approximately an I-10 exit onto Canal Street. Went there for lunch and the parking lot across the street from the restaurant was full as was the restaurant. Good soul food rules here.

Stephen Rushmore: I was hoping to see you at the Jazz Fest. I am down there for another reason, but while I am there, I will partake in some of the activities. I have been there for the occasion before. I will have lunch at Uglesich’s on Thursday close to their opening time. Looks like I will miss you. I will try to put a dent in their menu and there may be nothing left [:D]
