Sundays tourney was another bust 18Feb07, still in 2nd place though, played a bit of no-limit afterwards, dumped a 100, then split.

Wednesday, 21Feb07, was another bust, finished 4th, got points, no money, still in 2nd place, played a bit of 4-8, w/ over buttons and a full kill afterwards. Started off poorly, dumped a fast 100, ended up about 50 a head.

The following Thursday played Omaha, finished 7th, no money. The lady who won played all but one hand, she lost only one hand, well actually, she did chop one hand, but won all the rest, to take down about 2000 grand.

Friday the 23rd, got into town late, two games going with a waiting list of four, one of the owners, and the general manager came by, we conned them in to sitting down. We started off playing 7-stud, which is a kick, especially since they don’t normally deal that game. It was fun, sort of like a home game.

We then decided to play dealers choice, so we played everything from 7-stud, to 5 card draw, to 5 card stud, omaha 8, razz, idiots poker, midnight baseball, low spade in the whole, etc., the whole gamut of any poker game that anyone knew, and that anyone could describe to the dealer andother players. There was a lot of laughter, joking, teasing, swearing, jovial name calling, etc. This game went on for ten hours, and it lasted longer then the other two hold-em tables. WE even had a waiting list to get into the game. Only won about a 100, but it was fun.

The tourney on the 25rd was another bust, but I am still in 2nd place, completly mis-read my hand, thought I had A/J suited in spades, flop came blank – A – blank, thought I had a pair of aces, it was checked around to me, at that point blinds were 400/800 – I was 2nd table chip leader, I went all in for a bit over 4 grand, player to my left called, everyone else folded, he turnded an A/4, I turned up K/J spades – not the ace I though I had.I lost deservedly so.

Moved over to a 4/8 table – 1st hand – though I had 4/5 hearts, flop came 4 spades/five clubs – two pair, right? Bet them like I had them, bet on the turn, bet on river – I had mis-read my handagain. I hade 4/6 hearts. Lost, figured it was a sign and went home.

I am knowpreparing for a WPT tourney in March, Main Event is a 5000 buy in, last years champ won over one millioon dollars. We will see what happens. I hope my stupid poker is out of my system for at least the next month.

Tourney on the 14th was a bust as well, finished 25th out of 52, no cash. Also fell one and one half points behind the new 1st place person. Played a bit of 4-8 afterwards, that soon moved to no limit, dumped a hundred real quick, left to eat something came back, went down another 150, finally made all but 50 off it back. Went home. The worst part of it was when I got home, I found out that we had been "rustled", lost two to calves and their momma to some cattle theives, they also wounded one of my dogs ( australian shepard cross). We had to have her left leg amputed at the shoulder, she will be fine, and will become a full time house dog, although as a natural herder, it will be tough to keep her from trying to work until she is fully healed. However, a three legged aussie is a better herder then most breeds on 4 legs

Played pot limit hold’em thursday night, finished 9th out of 41, no money. Dumped a 20 in a slot machine on the way out, grabbed my usual 10, Jack in the Box – gut bomb tacos for the drive home.

Relatively card dead both nights. Oh well that’s poker. Will try again this weekend.

It is still legal to play internet poker in the US, however getting paid off has proven to be a bit of a hassle.

The tourney on the 10th was a complete bust. I won the 1st 6 hands that I played but lost the 7th.
And in reality the only hand that really counts is if you win the last hand of the tourney. However still in 1st place by about 4 points. I need a strong game Wednesday maintain my points lead.

Did OK in the cash gamesI played over the course of the weekend. I was up over 600 bucks Friday night, then down 800, then came back and had a 420 buck profit, took me 10 hours of play, so earned 42 dollars per hour.

Sunday after the tourney played 4-8 hold-em with over buttons and full kill, that game eventually evolved into a no limit game after the last person w/o an over button left the game. I had a slow and steady increase in my stack, ended up, after about 10 hours w/a profit of a bit over 1200 dollars, for an hourly win of about 120 per hour

Neteller is not cashing out US players right now. They have also closed all funding to and from all poker sites. I hope everyone eventually gets their money out.

My question still is about the legality of playing poker online. Anyone know about this?

Mosca, I talked to a friend last night who uses Net Teller, he sais that he had an account with them that had abit over 24K in it, he drew out 23K, leaving a bit over a 1000 bucks. He said he is having some problems getting the rest of his money. So I quess your friend is right is is not the easiest.

Last nights pot limit Omaha tourney was a bust, 88 players showed up, finished 7th, paid down to 6, so I was the bubble boy, which in this case is like kissing ones sister, although my brother-in-law says that my sister is a real good kisser. However there is both good news and bad news. The bad news is that I didn’t finish in the money, the good news is that I lost.

I was dealt the most perfect hand in Omaha High – AAKK double suited, flop comes AK off suit and the Queen of hearts, so I have double trips, all I need is one more of either for a killer hand, although I am looking prettty good, turn is a queen of hearts river is a ten of hearts. By that time I am all in. river is a king of hearts. Bingo I am the winner, quad kings. Wrong, my opponent was holding on to a Jack-nine of hearts, he hits the straight flush, I go down in flames, ignominious defeat, what have you. He took me out however, I will have the tourney, at least more then likely, bad beat for the month, which will pay me more then 2 grand, just for losing.

    PJ8,

I have a friend who plays online, he uses Net Teller. He says it’s not the easiest, but it works.

I don’t play internet poker, it is to hard to see faces, and body lanquage.

My son and some of my friends play on the internet, I think they utilize something called Net Teller or something like that to float their money through. As I recall and I could be wrong, that the prohibition was using banks, credit cards, etc. that were, or are based on american soil.

Played in a $50.00 no limit hold-em tonight, 33 players and seven alternates.Finished 4th, no money, but increased my point lead.

Played no-limit afterwards, in 5 hours made a whole 20 dollars, 4 bucks an hour. Oh well, poker and/or any form of gambling should be a marathon not a sprint.

tomorrow night, thursday, is an Omaha High, pot limit tourney, 35 dollar buy in, with the option of a 15 dollar add on, or a 15 buck re-buy with in the 1st 30 minutes

    Nice Superbowl bets CCJ!

About net poker, is it still legal to play from the US? I think it may depend on what state you live in? There are still lots of US folks still playing at Poker Stars. Any comments?

Played 4-8 holdem Friday night, full kill with over button, wasn’t doing well, eventually a seat opened in a no-limit game didn’t do well there either, made dumb reads, even dumber calls and dumped off $437 bucks in about 5 hours. Got my 10 Jack in the Box tacos and made the long drive home.

Tournament on Super Bowl Sunday was sparsely attended, only 21 players, finished 4th, no money, but moved me back into 1st place in the points standings.

Did win the two Super Bowl bets I made, bet the over for the 1st half and under for the game.

Thursday nights Omaha High tourney was a bust, 32 players three tables, didn’t even make the top twenty. Had ace clubs, ace spades 10 clubs, 9 hearts, flop comes 8 clubs 7 hearts, 2 diamonds, king spades. Prior to the flop had bet in a 500 raise on 3 callers of the 150 big blind, 3 called. On the flop everyone checked to me. bet the pot, 2 callers, blank on the turn, bet the pot, one caller, river a queen of diamonds, checked it down. The guy who called all beat me three queens, The kicker was his hand before the flop was 3 queens with a deuce.

In Omaha you only get to use 2 of your 4 hole cards, so his 3rd queen in his hand was dead, he was drawing to a one outer – and caught it. I had a zillion outs – but, alas did not make it it.
It didn’t make ne feel any better whenthe guy said, in essence, oops, I forgot we were playing Omaha, I’ve only played once before.Oh well, thats poker.

Did OK on the cash game afterwards 4/8 holde’em with full kill and over buttons, took away about 400 bucks in a bit over 3 hours.

Played in the 6th round of the 2007 wsop qualifier at a local casino. Finished out of the money, went up against an all in pair of queens, I had Ace/King suited, player to my left called my all in bet with ace/king unsuited, flop came king, blank, blank – however the blanks were spades – turn and river were little spades, however the player to my left had the king ofspades and I didn’t. He tookboth of usout. He then went on to win the tourney. I played in the 4/8 full kill game after and lost $180.00, played very poorly, so I left.

Thursday night I play in a pot limit Omaha high tourney, 35 dollar buy-in gets you 1750 in chips with one re-buy, should be about 30 or so players, I am hopeful that this will go well, as thisis only the 2nd Omaha tourney at this casino, and most fols haven’t played much.

I am still in 2nd place in the wsop qualifier, however there are still 98 more events to go during 2007

Hi all you poker dudes and dudeens,

Well for the latest update, if anyone cares.

Played Sunday, 28 January, in the final round of the second, year long tournament, I played in that the first prize was a buy-in to the main event of the WSOP. The top 40 point earners got there shot at this one. Not to brag, well OK, I am bragging, I won this one. I previously won my buy – in, so I didn’t need this one. However, the way they set it up, the winner could take their pick of the buy-in, or take $11,000, 10 grand plus a $1000.00 expense money. I took the cash. Now I don’t have to decide whether to play in the main event, or try to earn my way in by buying into a number of less expensive WSOP events. Had someone else won they could have taken the seat or the cash, however, had they taken the cash, they would have had to put their name on a waiting list.If they took the seat, the casino already had a reservation made so it was a guaranteed seat. So nowI have the best of both worlds.

ELLEN: If you are planning to come to Reno in March for the World Poker Challenge 2007, there will be $120.00 super satellite tourney’s daily begining 08March07, each winner earns a seat into the main event, a $5000.00 buy-in. There will also be two tourneys a day, at 11:00AM and 6:00PM with begining buy-ins of $225.00. The main event starts at noon the 25th. Maybe I will see you at the Grand Sierra Resort, formerly known as the Reno Hilton, formerly known as Bally’s, formerly known as the MGM Grand
