CC, where are you? I hope one of those cows didn’t step on your typing hand. We are eagerly awaiting your comments on the earlier subjects.
That said, I hate to make 3 posts in a row but……….after winning my seat yesterday, I did have about 8 hrs. of grueling play, and come in 169th out of 5,108 starting players. It paid 750 places and the $$ goes up the higher you place. I went out all in pre flop w/ QQ. I made the all in move from middle position with about 14x the BB (big bling) and with anties that totaled about as much as the small blind. Geting to be the one who makes the big move is IMHO the key to no limit poker, as it gives you whats called "fold equity". I was called by A10. The A 10 had almost as much money as me so he was not real desperate. I would not have made the call he did but…. an A came on the flop and no Q in sight. I was about 1 1/2 to 1 fav when all the money went in. Had I won that pot I would have had a good chance to drift into the final table where the BIG $$ is. Oh well, a beter finish than last week. It’s always a let down to make it through that huge mine field of thousands of players wanting to win your money, with your eye on the final table, and then go out w/ the best hand. But, way beter than going out w/ the worst hand on a dumb play.
I hope I’m not telling yall way more then you really want to know!
The free money tables are what I would recamend. Serious poker dosen’t sound like so much fun, does it!
