Thanks Bravo…I actually saw that video quite awhile ago but totally forgot about it…it’s given me a lot of good ideas….
edwmax, yes, I’ve had the burners on and the pans on top…the airflow is good. Great point though…it’s hard to see in the pics but there is more space than appears.
Have you had these burners on with the pans in place??? … From the 2nd pic, the pan looks like it is sitting on top of the burner. There is no room for the frame; There should be about 2 to 3 inches space here (maybe more) for the flame and air flow.
Here’s a pic of the burners with the pans dropped in…I don’t need to use this pan set up by any means…
I’m attaching a pic of my burners and I’ll add another pic that shows my pan set up….I’m really torn at how to set up things on my cart.
Obviously I need a pan for steaming my dogs and a pan for the buns. As you can see in my pic, I have two burners….one is to the far left then there is another one to the right and then there is a space to the far right that would be indirect heat. I was originally thinking about having a full steam pan all the way to the right (see the second pic in my follow up post) and in THAT pan having two half pans – one half pan for dogs (I would assume having the dogs on the left side since it would be on the more direct heat side) and the other half pan for buns.
That leaves a half pan all the way to the left over direct heat. The other things that I will need to heat on my cart will be chili and I need a place to grill onions. I really don’t think I need anything else than those two things. Maybe on the far left instead of the half pan (that is in the second pic on the follow up post) maybe I could have two 1/4 pans (with a cross bar?) and put chili in one and leave the other kind of open to plop onions into and grill when needed?
Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Need help with burner set up….
