I just sent Stephen a note asking if he had found a better solution yet. We need to keep his feet to the fire–or maybe his toes in the toaster! [;)]
Stephen –
FWIW, I have seen other newsletters and email subscription communications ask that people to put the subscription on their white list. Sometimes they will even go so far as to give basic instructions on how to do that.
Also, sometimes I have seen subscritpion driven forums put each message in a "wrapper" that reminds you that you subscribed and gives details how to unsubscribe. This way there is a constant reminder that you did subscribe to this topic and that you can unsubscribe when you no longer want to read it.
I really miss the subscription driven notifications. It allows me to follow groups that are not very active without having to log in and search for them on a daily basis. Without the subscription feature of the forums I will probably not be very active. Just my 2 cents worth.
Since I am always ready to help out in implementing a suggestion that I make, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help resolve this or any other issue concerning this site.

Until they get the "subscription" thing worked out, I’m just "bookmarking" the pages as "favorites" and then going back to them to see the new messages.
Me, too; but it’s a royal pain! I hope we can get back to being our happy little selves. [:o)] And I miss being able to "Reply quoted"–though I admit to having seen some real nested horrors that make a spreadsheet "if" condition look simple!
(edited to correct stupid mistake!)
I also miss subscriptions. I guess we are never grateful for something until we loose it!

I can dig where Stephens comming from. I’m just one of those little guy home users here… But I send out a few humor emails a week.. A few months ago everyting I sent to either Comcast or USAMedia email accounts where bounced back as spam. Luckily it wasnt me that caused it, but a spammer within the ISP’s accounts did.. After talking to my ISP they explained it all.. Took them a couple days to remedy the problem. Best thing to do if you get a spam alert from your ISP with a familar and wanted name is to call them and let them know it’s not spam.
I’m astounded! Does this mean we are unable to subscribe to a topic??????
Thanks Stephen. That at least makes sense! 🙂
I miss being able to subscribe!!!!!
Yes, I deactivated it because people were claiming us as "Spam" when they received the notifications. This puts us in a poor position with the ISP and causing them to black-list us. I need some time to think about a better solution.

My subscriptions are gone as well. Not sure what is up, but I’ll check on it.
Heck, I’m not seeing any way to subscribe to this topic at all. [:0]
