and, people kite flying behind your house, too!

Maybe they do Ann , fact is, I want the best  for you, you are a good person, I believeve that, everyone else here does too. May you sleep tonight, and all  nights in the future, easy in to your slumber,  peacefully , may the Lord bring you great dreams, bring you peace and confidence, and soon may some of those dreams become reality.

Mother Nature surely laughs at Mankinds attempts to predict her comings and goings!

It was pretty warm around Pittsburgh in February. I was lucky to be in Finland for almost the entire month. I like the cold and sweat like a pig if it’s over 70.

I love lots of snow during winter but once pitchers and catchers report to training camp it’s time for it all to melt away.

The temperature hit 81 degrees here yesterday and that bested the earliest recorded statewide date for an 80-plus reading by 2 full weeks.  There’s a slough about a quarter mile behind my house and tonight the peepers are making lots of noise…just unheard of for March 16.

When I lived in New England, I liked the cold winter, because i liked skiing.  Now living in the Wash, DC suburbs, the snow and sleet is just a nuisance.  There is nothing useful to do with snow around here, like skiing.    So, I’m glad to see above normal winter.  I like below normal summers.

Glenn, you areabout 60 miles from Ski Liberty, in Fairfield Pa., crappy compared to what you are coming from, but at least something, not 6 hours away!

This is the most beautiful state in the Union!

Obviously, you’ve never been next door — New Mexico.

Yep, I’ve traveled all over NM and yes, it is a beautiful state too but it lacks a lot of the diversity of AZ. In AZ you can be in the wilderness or enjoy the advantages of a large metro area. The climate is a little more diverse than NM and besides all that, we have the toughest Sheriff in America! Not to mention a Governor who shakes her finger at the President of the United States for not taking care of our Borders.[woot][:0][:D]

The worst part of this miserable weather is my forsythia is blooming.

Forsythia is beautiful, I wish it stuck around a little longer!

Sure it’s beautiful, but it’s still winter, and I want snow. cold and ice. Later it’ll be time for forsythia, and then I, too, wish it would stick around longer.

It’s 19 in Anchorage today and 6 in Nome, Alaska.  I may have to get on a plane to see winter this year.

I just hope the warm winter is not a precursor of a very hot summer, with no spring in between.
