About three years my wife and were driving back from Colorado and stopped in Quanah, Texas for dinner. We were going to eat at K-Bob’s steakhouse, because I hadn’t been to one of those in years, but they were closed (it was a Sunday evening.) I had forgotten about a place I had passed a hundred times but had never stopped, so we decided to check it out.
It looks like an old train depot and is appropriately named The Medicine Mound Depot Restaurant. Turns out it was put together from two depots in the area. It’s a quaint place and the steaks then were pretty good. If anyone else has ever been there, I would like to hear your feedback on the place.
It’s located on U.S. Hwy. 287 in Quanah, just south of the Oklahoma border in the Texas Panhandle. I’d put a link here but there’s no web site that I can find.
