Had a great lunch here on a business trip. It may be a little off your path, but not far from the Philly Turnpike. I had one of the best crab cake sandwiches I have ever had here, and that was even after having them in Baltimore at the hyped-up places. Salad, soup, all was great here;

There are a number of Truckstops along the Interstate. They’re generally pretty good. There’s a TA at the Brookville PA Exit that’s pretty good.
I’ll show the teenagers in the car – might be a hit – thank you.
yep I did – any good ideas?
Thank you so much for your suggestion! Have to visit the folks and need to spice up the out and back portion – will try your idea.
The Clem’s in Port Matilda closed as a casualty of the new highway. There’s another one in a retail space in State College but it definitely doesn’t have the same atmosphere.
Man.
Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield. Famous burgers. Not awesome, but OK.
Gio’s, also in Clearfield, one exit east of Denny’s. Very interesting, needs more exploring.
Near State College, Clem’s BBQ. I haven’t been, but it smells real. On 322 in Port Matilda.
I imagine your route involves 476 north to White Haven? The White Haven Diner. joerogo has a picture somewhere. edit: Found it; that’s jr’s shot of the burger.
Do you mean INTERSTATE 80?
