Yes, I asked tonight after they got back, and it was the Chaine…
No wonder they looked a little buzzed when they returned.
I’ve been to lots of Les Dames functions. The chapter here is very diverse, not too exclusive at all. It’s my understanding that Les Dames was formed as a group for women in various food professions because many other groups and organizations didn’t permit women as members at the time. I am not a member of La Chaine or Les Dames, only because I’m not much into joining any kind of group. I know lots of people who belong to one or both groups. These people like to party! I was the executive chef at a restaurant with a Chaine certificate and did some wine functions. They were a blast. If you get the chance to go to any meetings with your boss Roosy, or to a wine dinner, do it. Chances are the food will be very good and the wine will definitely be good.
Mr. Mayor, we are ready to head out of here in early September and we are ready for some desert dining with you two!! Oh, make that you FOUR. Can’t forget Duffy and Demi!
Lisa, October is approaching quickly…and the plan includes some desert-dining!!

Thanks Lleechef.. It is Chaines..I think…
That is where my boss goe…. and Sunday is the next meeting.
I wonder if I can get a pass thru him for the next one.
Hmm,,,
Just what do they do there anyway. I always forget to ask….
Thanks so much..
BTW. how are you enjoying your vacation.
Have you had some decent weather yet>
Or still in sweats?
The two largest gourmet wine and food clubs that I know of are La Chaine des Rotisseurs and Les Dames d’Escoffier. To belong to La Chaine requires a $600 year membership plus a few other bucks thrown here and there. I don’t know a lot of Les Dames, but it’s pretty exclusive and very expensive.
Does anyone know of the gourmet and wine food club named Chantell or something like that?
I know I am not getting the name right.
My boss goes every month, and he has been a member for at least 20 or 3o years.
Lleechef, you must know what I mean.
I may be totall off base, but.. For some reason, I cannot remember to ask him.
The local chapter meets this Sunday.. Maybe Capt Morgan knows.
Thanks
