Marvelous!!!.. Now can someone buy him some decent plates!!![V]
Did you eat the whole thing [?] [:0]
King Cakes are sold during Carnival season here. It’s suppose to be eaten for 12th Night, the night the Three Kings came to see Jesus bringing their gifts and the official end of the Christmas season. The person who finds the baby in their slice provides the King Cake the next year. Carnival season of course is the party between Christmas and Lent [:D]
Though it’s sold all year we personally only eat it up to the end of the carnival season on Mardi Gras. We buy ours from Haydel’s Bakery and make our own at home.
I would offer to send you one but they run 50 bucks including shipping lol I do however have a recipe if anyone is interested. I’ll be making another this weekend. If I can remember I’ll take pics if anyone wants them.
