Mr. Mayor,
I LOVED the raspberry Junket as a kid! My mother can still buy it at her local Giant Eagle in Rochester, PA. I, however, am deprived in Anchorage, AK. Drat! [:(!][;)]
What exactly is Danish Dessert? We have a recipe that calls for it and cannot find it locally. Is it a fruit glaze, a gelatin or pudding, or something else entirely? What could we substitute for it?
Thanks
I think I’ve seen the raspberry on a web site of Scandanavian foods, but I’m not sure which. You could try Scandia in Norwalk, CT. I’m pretty sure they have a web site.
Al – *get out of my head*. I was *just* thinking about Junket Salada’s raspberry flavor, as my mom used it as the starting point for a fresh raspberry pie that is to die for. I can’t count how many rubber scrapers and wooden spoons I’ve turned pink with that fine product. Freaky.

I haven’t seen this one for several years…but can recall enjoying the "Hot Jello" of the Raspberry flavored Junket call Danish Dessert. Now and then I see the Strawberry version around…but the good one was the Raspberry. Anyone else get caught with the red tongue and fingers from cleaning the spoon and bowl???[?]
