I live in Miami, Florida so obviously it s warm through out most of the year.
I m currently building a small enclosed trailer 6 x 8 with a 9 feet tall roof.
I have friends who have big beautiful food trucks with all the perks including air conditioning, but every time I go in their trucks it seems to always be hot inside even with their a/c on.
So why even bother having a/c?
I don t see the need since the cool air would be sucked out by hood vents and escape out of the serving or ordering window.
Just my two cents.
I have seen both, and don’t see much benefit from having it. Draws power and the exhaust sucks it out!!!
I'm in Miami. My AC provides welcome relief from the oppressive heat when two fryers and two ovens are going.
Even when no equipment is heating the space, a food truck is an enclosed aluminum box that carries a lot of heat when the Florida sun beats down on it.
AC does not cool the entire space. However it creates a beautiful oasis under the vents to take a water break.
I am in central fl and my answer is No. It is uncomfortable without it but very doable. Why pay for something and all that goes along with running it to not really be able to benefit from it.
