On the west side of Indiana (if you are going west)… Just across the state line in Casey, Illinois is Richard’s Family Farm Restaurant. Stern’s reviewed this place several years ago and we have been there a couple of times since. Very good Pork and Veggies. Enjoy the atmosphere of eating’down on the farm’.
Do a site search for Indianapolis here on Roadfood.com and you will come up with a number of places that are close to U S 40!

hi – my friend and I will be traveling Rt 40 (the National Road) the last week of August through Indiana and Ohio and on into PA….can anyone suggest worthy places to stop & eat, and also any vintage motels still in operation along that route?? many thanks
