This person registered as a roadfood member, and then sent these through roadfood, not via regular e-mail channels. Your e-mail address did remain private, however, this "member" was able to e-mail you the same way any other member could e-mail you. If you need more clarification, hit the e-mail button and send me a note. When you do you’ll note that my e-mail will remain unknown to you unless I reply.
