Yesterday evening, we decided to try a newly opened restaurant in the center of Linden, TN named "Cruiser’s". [:)] When we pulled up in front of the place, there was plenty of parking and this was at 6:30 pm. That should have given me a clue right then and there. [:I] We parked and went in and it is fixed up very nice and new like a 50’s type of drive in restaurant. We were the only customers there at the time. Another red flag !! 5 of the tables were occupied by various objects like packs of cigarettes, purses, sweaters, jackets, and emplty coke bottles. [V] Another red flag !! We should have left, but being a sort of person that will give anyone a first chance, we stayed to eat. The waitress came and passed us the menu’s which we quickly opened to what sort of fare was offered. Another big red flag !! Prices were outragous !! [:0] $15.99 for a small rib-eye !!! I don’t think so…we ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich on a "fresh baguette". It came and was not even close to being a philly cheese steak nor was it a fresh baguette….heck it wasn’t even a baguette. There was a table of folks sitting and smoking and come to find out they were the owners and cooks…Now I am wondering if they even bothered to wash their hands before preparing our food for us. From the way they looked, I think probably not. [xx(][xx(][xx(] Needless to say, we did not finish our food, and we paid them and promptly left the establishment never to return again. EVER !! On a scale of 1 to 10, we would rate it a minus 5. [V]
