the ancient mariner
There should be plenty of places to rent—any realtor will have listings. In our Condo, which is right on the water in St Pete—about 25 miles away from downtown Tampa—there are plenty of places.
Don’t be hasty, the economy has made it a buyer’s (renter’s)market.
In the Clearwater area just across the bridge from Tampa there are tons of apartments and restaurants. I would look there first.
I will quite likely be taking on a project in downtown Tampa.
I’m needing short term furnished housing in a decent neighborhood … it can be downtown … ideally walking distance to good roadfood.
Eventually, I’ll need something permanent … I’ll have a pretty good budget as I’ll be renting my Massachusetts condo for a very good price (furnished) …
I already found EDDIE & SAM’S NEW YORK PIZZA (“Real New York Water”) … best NYSP I’ve had in years.
What can anybody tell me about that neck of the woods? Tampa really confuses me … I gotta take a close look at a map.
Just a slight correction, Ellen. The Red Mesa Restaurant is at 4912 4th St. N. Sunken Gardens is at 1825 4th St. N. Maybe a mile apart.
There is also the Red Mesa Cantina in downtown St. Pete now also.
my friend Robin deals blackjack at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa..
at first she bought a house in Wesley Chapel…
she did’nt like it , as it was too suburban and far away…
(best for families, and she is single)
Now she lives in the River View section…
bought a reasonable house
I LOVE the RED MESA grill in St. Pete !!!
I went there about a year and a half ago…it’s a southwestern place, right across from Sunken Gardens…
open for lunch and dinner, plus breakfast on the weekends..
I had a steak and enchilada combo…delish !!!
Hey, see you at BERN’S steakhouse sometime?!???
p.s. I’ll brainstorm and look thru all my Tampa stuff for more recs…
pps good luck, GREGG !!!
I don’t know how things are these days in Tampa but I would check out the Hyde Park area near downtown.
