One of the local MD’s has a door opening device that activates when you wave your hand in front of it.
porkbeaks, how was the food? [;)]
I take 3 paper towels. I put them under my arm while washing my hands. One is used to turn off the water if it’s not auto, one is to dry off my hands and one is used to open the door.
I love the bathrooms at most state line rest stops…no doors!
I don’t care if it is un pc of me, that photo is funny and I can’t wait to show my dh lol
More so Tedbear. Women’s toilet rooms are a bigger headache than men’s toilet rooms to clean and maintain. I don’t know why my fellow architects don’t use common sense in designing toilet rooms. Public toilet rooms should either have a trap maze without doors or the doors should be latchless and swing out so you can push the door open with your forearm. I can personally vouch for Target stores for the past 9 years built with outswinging doors. When I took over prototype design development I made that change. I’m retired now. I will be curious to see if future stores follow through.
I think people who are bright red would be outraged, on the otherhand, so to speak, if there was a hand blow dryer back THERE, there might be a line !
Sexist though that example may be, I think that anything that would increase the percentage of men who wash their hands after using the toilet would be a good thing.
I have observed so many men who exit from toilets and then immediately exit from the men’s room that I will no longer touch a men’s room door handle with my bare hands. After all, what good is it for me to wash my hands if I then have to touch a door handle contaminated with fecal residue bearing…God only knows which diseases. So, I wash thoroughly and use a paper towel to open the door handle. If there is no paper towel available, I use a tissue from the small supply that I carry in my pocket.
I have often wondered…Are women as slovenly and as unhygienic as so many men apparently are?
Wow, what a stereotypically sexist topic. I am so offended by it.[:0]
As tempting as it is, it will never work. I have spent too much time traveling and I have observed too much.
