We went down to 2.60 at one point this summer but we’re pushing 3 and beyond again depending where you buy. We have the joy of being considered a “collar” county to Chicago (even though we’re 45 miles west) so we pay extra in taxes towards mass transportation. If I drive 9 miles west to De Kalb County, it’s generally 10 cents cheaper.

Look at the post just above this one.

Just filled up the SUV and it almost cost me a half day’s work.
$3.19 a gallon at the Shell station after passing up $3.29 at the Mobile.

Think it’s the car from now on.

I’m in the Los Angeles area.

Nov 23rd  Instead of a jump for the Holiday weekend the price dropped to $2.65 a gallon for regular yesterday. That’s a 19 cent drop in one step.  Go Figure??????
