One bite of Hostess Cherry Pie and one bite of pepperoni. What a great combo. I used to have it for lunch.

There could be any number of reasons, but my guess is that Hostess doesn’t have a distributor there.

Im in Orange County, NY a town named Warwick, Directly on the Border with Norther New Jersey (Sussex County, Vernon, nj, Greenwood lake, NJ)…

And Every Hostess food product is available here EXCEPT Fruit Pies!

I havent seen them here in YEARS! ive NEVER EVER see Blackberry, Raspberry, or any other "Exotic flavor"…all we ever used to have was Lemon, Blueberry, Apple (somtimes French Apple…god was that good), and Cherry…oh, once, sometime in the mid 90’s i found a single Strawberry one in Middletown, ny.

the only fruitpies available are Drakes, which suck, and Entenmanns…which also suck…both of those brands upset my stomach and give me heartburn and stuff =[

But, might ANYONE know WHY Hostess Fruit Pies arent available here at all?

I’ve never seen the Blackberry pies. I’ll have to be on the look out for them.

And I’m STILL waiting for them to bring back Fruitpie the Magician (the Hostess Pie technician) [:D]

I have a problem. I ordered blackberry pies from Fresh Chocodiles on 03/04/07. I received a receipt then a email telling me my order will be late and shipped 03/16 since I figured I could wait I didn’t reply for the refund. Well time passed and it was the 29 of March I hadn’t seen hide nor hair of fruit pie so I emailed them and he asked me to forward the receipt email, I did so and haven’t heard from him since. Monday I am going to call my bank to see if I can get my money back. I also sent him a email to his email he registered the website under but to no avail.

So if you want pies Fresh Chocodiles isn’t the place to get them I guess.

A couple of months ago I was told by the lady at our Dolly Madison Outlet Store (our other 2 Outlet Stores are Hostess) that they are gradually being switched to Hostess labels. I don’t know if this is so that IBC doesn’t have to print so many different wrappers for the same product, or if they are planning to close some bakeries.

On the IBC website ( http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=93242&p=irol-location ) they list the following bakery locations:

Hostess Bakeries: Los Angeles (CA), Schiller Park (IL), Seattle (WA), Indianapolis (IN), St. Louis (MO), Philadelphia (PA), Memphis (TN), Ogden (UT)

Dolly Madison Bakeries: Los Angeles (CA), Columbus (GA), Columbus (IN), Emporia (KS)

    Drake s Bakery: Wayne (NJ)

My guess is that what flavors of pies are available at any particular store depends a lot on which of these bakeries your outlet store is getting their pies from at any given time. We have a Butternut bakery here, and I am sure the semis that deliver Butternut bread to other areas bring back the Hostess and Dolly Madison products to our area on their return trip.

There’s another flavor I’ve never seen Hostess offer around western Kentucky: pineapple. I wonder how many others there are that I don’t know about?

    Huh.

I wonder why she said that then? It ruined my whole day. If you are a blueberry person, you know what I mean. You can eat 10 other things, but nothing satisfies the craving for blueberry pie quite like…blueberry pie.

I’ve never seen raspberry here. Or blackberry. I’ve seen apple & cherry (boring) peach, pineapple, and lemon.

To show you how unpredictable the Hostess fruit pie situation can be in Western Kentucky, seven days ago I reported seeing my first Hostess strawberry-flavored pie. Today, no strawberry pies can be found in any outlet anywhere around here. They are gone. What’s in their place? Blueberry pie–which couldn’t be found at all seven days ago. Again, only the raspberry-flavored pies have never made it around here. Don’t know why.

Just today, I went to 2 of the 3 Bakery Outlet stores in our area to buy Hostess Pies for our Boy Scout troop’s campout this weekend. One had apple, blueberry, cherry, lemon and chocolate. The other had apple, blueberry, cherry, strawberry, lemon and chocolate. (I didn’t bother checking out the third store.) Normally around here, I think they rotate the blueberry, strawberry and peach pies, so perhaps in your area they are dropping the blueberry pies for the time being in order to go to the strawberry pies.

If she wasn’t jerking your chain, it’s probably just in your area, and probably only for a limited time. A lot of their fruit pies seem to be seasonal. Maybe the company has some sort of a distrubutional master plan, but if so, I can’t figure it out.

I didn’t know they even had a Hostess Raspberry pie, I thought it was only blackberry. I just saw a peach pie the other day which I normally see in July or August when peaches are more in season so that was unusual. I wish they would just make all the flavors available anywhere instead of regional. If they haven’t had certain flavors available in certain areas for a long time how do they know if they will sell well if they don’t try?
