At least 30 years ago, I took a marketing class. The prof wondered why companies spend a fortune to get you to try a product, and then deliver crap. It is still a valid question.

Totally agree. What that slab of hard stuff that became the frosting?
I was at a friend’s home and she actually served a plate of assorted Hostess cakes as dessert. I’m not reassessing both of them.
I went on their website and wrote a letter to their consumer head and basically said whast I posted here. There is also a website called Pissed Consumer where you can report something about a bad product and others can add their dislike. From what I read on the web., many feel as we do. I’m hoping if enough respond, Hostess(or the new owners of that storied brand), will realize ticking off the public is not the way to go!
Bought a pack the other day, and it renewed my disappointment with this new Hostess ownership. I hate the reduced cupcake size…almost a mini…and the taste is off..wrong texture. They claim they tweaked the formula. Not remotely the same…and I just sent a text to customer relations to tell them that. I know you can’t fight city hall, but if enough old-timers who remember the real thing complain, who knows. Thoughts?

Hostess Cupcakes??
I had the same issue. I no longer have the product and I could not supply info on their site. If I had it I could complain. I bought a couple of dozen for my grandson’s baseball team. If you send me the info, I will send it to Hostess with my issues. I have no product info.
