I’m looking for a recipe for honeycomb bread.
There is a bakery in Sommerville Ma. called Lyndell’s that make this delicious bread and it’s the only place I’ve seen it.
The bread is somewhat on the dark side and dose look like a honeycomb when sliced, also sweet but not overly.
I’ve checked the google route and most of my bakeing bibles but have yet to come to anything close.
Many years ago they use to bake this bread only 2 days a week. You had to get there early, there would be long lines out on the sidewalk waiting to get in. I belive today they offer it daily.
My only guess is it must be made from a special starter or biga that requires a long ferment therefor the 2 day offering only.
