So give it up CK! Which place in Gettysburg? I suspect the Farnsworth House. Am I right?
O’Connor’s Restaurant in Somerset, NJ is located in an old farmhouse that dates back to the late 1700s, and it is reputed to be haunted by a female ghost who can be seen standing on the stairs to the second floor.
I have not had the pleasure of sighting (yes, it is sighting, not siting!!!) this apparition, but one of the waitresses told me that she saw it one night, after closing time. Of course, this could just be a story for the tourists.
I have eaten at Magnolia’s Vineyard many times without seeing the ghost but the food was good. It is one of those old PA country inns.
I know this is gonna sound crazy as hell but I am gonna say it anyway hahahaha
There is a Japanese Sake steak house near the Dayton Mall I swear it’s haunted. When I went there years ago it was a totally different type of resturant so it’s not from being a japanese sake place hahaha
(sounding weird here) but I felt pure evil when I was there, couldn’t stay thru the whole meal.I paid the bill and got the hella outta dodge hahaha
Having lived there for years, I know this quite well!
I was just hoping to hear everyone’s story (if they had any).
Oh yes…Practically everywhere you go in New Orleans is a haunted location…
The place we stayed at in Gettysburg, no sitings in the restaurant, but my pix of our room shows a "ghostly" figure in the room with us, and it was n’t there when I took the pix.
The Applewood Restaurant in Aurora, In.
No sitings, but have been in there when something happened up stairs that was contributed to the ghost of the place.
I have no idea how I missed the search button.
HOWEVER…this topic hasn’t been discussed since 05 and 03, so it’s about time to revisit it, eh?
I have been to the Hunter Steakhouse here in Oceanside, CA many times. It is built on top of the original Oceanside cemetary from the 1800’s. In spite of it being a part of a chain, I do enjoy the food there.
As for the spooky stuff, I have had only one experience. It was the second time I went there for dinner. My boyfriend and I were sitting at one end of a table that seats 4. We had used the salt and pepper when we were served our salads and had set them on the table by us. After our entree’s came we went to use the salt and pepper again and they were way down at the far end of the table![:0] We did not move them and we did not see the server move them either. (why would she?) Right then a cold breeze blew across my shoulders. Could have been the air conditioning I guess but it gave both of us the chills. I know it’s not much of a story but it’s the only one I’ve got![:D] Doatsie
I believe The Pirate’s House in Savannah is supposed to be haunted.
Can’t speak for the food since I’ve never been.
Have eaten at three places that are supposedly haunted; Buxton Lodge in Granville, Ohio, Casey Moore’s in Tempe, AZ., and The Copper Queen Hotel in Bisbee, AZ., and have not experienced sitings, but all three places are exceptional dining experiences.
Maybe someone else has seen the spirits in these places…..hopefully we will learn of those adventures.
Try the "search" button under forums at the top right of the page.
Yes in Gettysburg, no sitings.
OK, I got through 10 pages/January without finding this topic (Is there a better way to search for stuff?).
Have you ever eaten at a place reputed to be haunted? Did anything "happen"?
And, most importantly, was the food any good?
